IOAN 154 Report post Posted February 27, 2018 I tried several variants and all kinds of tools (which proved to be ineffective) for the knot on the neck of the bottle. For those interested, I found a method that pleased me. 2 JesseLee and Spanky reacted to this
DSiemens 1,188 Report post Posted February 27, 2018 I have always struggled with turks head knots. This method is the most straight forward method I've seen. I'm excited to try it out.
Onni 554 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 If you check out the Swedish bottled ships web site there is a great tool for creating turks head knots. Of course its in swedish but just remember vänster is left and höger is right. http://www.flaskskepparna.se/bygga/bygga valknop.htm 2 Chasseur and JesseLee reacted to this
IOAN 154 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 The device is good, the instructions think they have a mistake. (I struggled for a week with him)
DSiemens 1,188 Report post Posted February 28, 2018 I've struggled with the devices too. You get one thing wrong and it really messes it up. Takes a lot of concentration.

Bernard Kelly 78 Report post Posted March 31, 2018 This is a great website for knots..............http://www.animatedknots.com/ I have been doing turks head knots for about 45 years. Once you get used to doing them it comes pretty easy. I find that doing them around the first two fingers of me left hand is the best way for me. Then I tighten them up when on the bottle. 5 JesseLee, Onni, exwafoo and 2 others reacted to this
