Chasseur
A colleague and myself were discussing some stuff about clipper ships and in particular the American clipper the Great Republic. It so happens a gent by the name of Jeff Simmons had put on a display at the Seattle Airport on bottling ships. My friend Rob and his wife were cruising through the airport and spotted this display. Rob was extremely happy as he is building a bigger version of the GR in his work shop. Note the GR in the first slide and the miniature *lighthouses* Also: please note Jeff's rigging stand in the first slide that has the Barque Beatrice on it. Very innovative stand as he can swing it 360 degrees when rigging and keep the base stationary. Very Handy indeed. Anyway a nice little display to say the least. Hats off to Mr. Simmons! Note: the one book in the display by I believe authored by J.P. Larousse? Does anyone know about this author? Do I have his last name correct?
