Raindog Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Hi Mehmet! That looks great! I love the colour of the sails, and you've got a great looking Sea (something I always have trouble with). Can't wait to see your future projects :-) Jeff. 1 Quote

DSiemens Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Very well done especially for a first model. I agree the sails and sea are really good. 1 Quote
Lord Nelson Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 The ship is great. I would suggest that on your next build try to pick a bottle that fits your ship. You want to fill the bottle as much as possible. You could also scale up the size of the ship to fit the bottle you have. Mast height should be close to the top[ of the bottle and length of the ship should fill the length of the bottle. You can also add a lighthouse to help make up the length. 2 Quote
mehmet yarali Posted December 24, 2015 Author Report Posted December 24, 2015 hello every body thank you very much for nice replies, comments and suggestions. Lord Nelson, I will definitely keep your suggestions about the bottle size, unfortunately most of the bottles at home are similar in shape and size (ordinary visky bottles), I will be searching for more options :-) mehmet Quote
DSiemens Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Those whisky bottles will work fine. They look great for long clipper ships or you can put two or more ships in one bottle to balance it out. It's all up to you. I do find the hunt for new interesting bottles is pretty fun though. Good luck. 1 Quote
JesseLee Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 I also like the sails- they look old & weathered & the sea looks very good. Jesse 2 Quote
