Dave Fellingham
I sometimes find myself intimidated by a project or a task because of my perceived limitations and doubts of accomplishing it to my satisfaction. A few months ago while browsing the web, I came across the remarkable work of Willard Wigan. "The Last Supper" in the eye of a needle. A motorcycle inside a hollowed out beard clipping. [Yes, you read that right.] Now I don't get intimidated so easily, and when I do, I remember these. Nothing is impossible. Dave, good images to express the theme of your post. We are only limited by our imagination. I strive to work every day to expand my imagination. Chasseur
WOW that is outstanding! My son told me there is also a guy who carves figures from graphite pencil lead. I must find this as it will inspire me to model some of the deck winches on the Preussen. I wonder if this is the same guy? Jeff
Dave Fellingham
I saw those, it's a different guy. I'm still trying to get my head around hollowing out a bit of beard stubble.
Chasseur
Yeah after your post I googled Williards stuff and he has one of his miniature ships inside a transparent thumb screw of one of the worlds most expensive watches ever made. He is also on TED Talks as well. Thanks for posting as it's really inspired me to model some extra detail when I get to that stage on the Preussen. The motorcycle inside of the beard stubble is amazing .... Jeff
