Chasseur
I thought since I posted this topic on Model Ship World for all to see it might as be here as well. Nemo's War was part of a diorama I built a few years ago to display at our local library. The display ran for about one year. This shadow box was part of a bigger battle scene. You'll see two of Captain Nemo's Iron Tubs that have successfully torpedoed a Russian Dreadnought. In the scene the two tubs are lying at the bottom after attaching spar torpedoes to the unlucky vessel. Submarines are scratch built from two drop tanks off of a 1/48" scale fighter jet model. Coral is modeled from some sea sponge and the sea bed from modelers clay. The sides of the shadow box depict volcanic eruptions from Nemo's Island haunt and are modeled from Plaster of Paris and cast from some molds. The rock formations on the sea bed are those wood chips you buy for your garden. The aforementioned were dry brushed with various acrylic paints et al. Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas and... a Happy New Year to All ...
