Gwyl Blaser
I was watching the start of the Volvo Ocean Race leg 5 on live youtube and they had a the helicopter circle one of the sailing ships in the fleet that was part of the spectator fleet that was called the Spirit Of New Zealand. it looks to be a fantastic ship and one that would look wonderful in a bottle. Has anyone heard of this ship? Does anyone know if there are plans or drawings available for it. John Fox III
Greetings Gwyl, It is indeed interesting looking, lost of cabins astern of the masts, but doable! <G> I googled the name, and found the school site, which listed the following, which could possibly lead to a contact for the plans: Ship Designers: Ewbank Brooke and Associates Built: 1986 by Thackwray Yachts Limited and Spirit of Adventure Trust, Auckland Anchor's A Weigh! Gwyl Blaser
Thanks John. It does look like a doable and fun ship to model. I am going to try to obtain some plans if possible. I will keep the group posted on this. Gwyl
