Scaling down from plans

Recommended Posts

Since i don't do segmented hulls or build in anything other than conventional liquor bottles i let the inside diameter of the neck define the scale of the model. A set of proportional dividers is fairly simple to make in this situation. One set of points is set to the beam as depicted on the plan, and the other set to the inside diameter of the bottle neck. As long as the intersection of the arms isn't shifted, the dividers will reliably translate plan scale into bottle scale.
