lashipguy Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 I've been working on a 1:600 scale model of the HMS Surprise in fits and starts for the past three years. The model was fully completed and I was working on the bottle when, as fortune had it, the model fell behind the couch! The fall broke the main and foremasts. I had managed the repairs when a small person with curious fingers met the Surprise. So I'm currently working on the re-repairs and hope to get it safely into a bottle before any more wrecks happen! I've included a shot of the starting materials and another of when the Surprise was last in ship shape. I have posted many process photos to my instagram account, username ayerslorenzo.
