    Do you know the website "folk art in bottles"? Here you can find some plan drawings

    I use jelutong for the hulls . It's a fine grained wood and also soft .For masts and spars I mostly use bamboo .Before drilling I give my mast a little glue to prevent splitting,as described in Guy de Marco's book "Ships in Bottles".
